Despite a few novice pitfalls, I was super impressed at how involved you got for your first map!
Moving slopes, polyobjects, custom terrain— Most new mappers shy away at the thought of a mere fof! Not to mention, it was all in service of a shockingly accurate port.
Great work!

The paint bucket mechanics turned out to be surprisingly deep, and the way the map evolves over the course of the race is really unique and interesting!
You should be proud of how this turned out!

map so funny it exploded my game
(seriously why was the skybox bigger than the entire map)
Time Attack Award Determined by Dillon
As the resident TA fanatic, I'm always looking for maps that are fun and unique in the mode.
Glowstick City is both! In a way, it's a mix of Time and SPB attack, given the cat chasing you; That way, the map has a lot to offer for casual, fun runs, without getting in the way of more serious grinding.
Alongside a solid layout overall, Glowstick City is a great TA map!

I still have no idea how you got the floor texture to change color like that. It's such an impressive effect!

For how much you seem to loathe visual work, this has got to be some of your most impressive visuals yet. It doesn't go unnoticed, Udgey!!! Ganbare!!!

This is one of many simple layouts in the jam, but I'm impressed how much you made a simple box stand out! Drawing all the custom textures must have taken all your time!
It's honestly a really fun battle map as well, I can't wait to airstrike people with ballhogs in public lobbies. >:3

RAAAH This map didn't get an award! But this was my personal favorite map in the jam. I love Speedrunners and this is a super fucking cool interpretation of the mechanics, the no-bump walls and switches are so evocative.
This is also the most perfect final lap music usecase of all time. Wanna make more speedrunners maps...? Maybe a whole cup...? Pretty please...?
Consider this my honorary Nepotism Award, for being my personal favorite ★★★

This map turns what could easily be a flat and uninteresting layout into both a feast for the eyes and something quite dynamic.
Great work both of you! I'm always happy to see people collaborating during the jam.

Something I don't think I really mentioned in the stream, but this is your best-looking map yet Begine! I can really see the improvement you've been making over time. Keep it up!
Eldog
This map came out really well! I think it went under the radar a bit because of how late into the stream it was showcased, but this has got to be one of the smoothest translations from source to RR.
The amount of love and care put into this map is astounding.
From the reskinned rings and custom particles to the littany of weird alt paths and platforming elements, it's clear you have a lot of love for Cave Story and Ring Racers.
You've certainly made someone's favorite map with this one!
