The cerv.id Classic A month-long map jam for mappers of all skill levels!

This Month's Theme: act 1 — act 2

What is This?

#

The cerv.id Classic is a map jam for Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers, a technical kart-racer based on SRB2.

Inspired by Simpleflips' Romhacking Competitions, participants have 1 month (Jun 1 — Jun 30) to create a map using High Voltage Ring based on the given theme.

Once the jam is over, your submissions will be broadcasted live on YouTube in a wrap-up event where judges will give constructive feedback and show off each submission. Each submission will recieve additional feedback on the results page once the results are announced.

Rules

#

Your submission should consist of 1 to 3 original maps (of any gametype) started after the competition begins. You may submit solo or as a team.

Teams are not required to consist of exclusively mappers! Both solo-mapper and multi-mapper entrants are free to recieve texture, spriting, lua, or other help. Make sure everyone is credited!

Only 1 song per map. Sorry, but altmusic bloats file sizes tremendously!

Your submission must follow the Submission Guidelines

While not a hard rule, it can be fun to keep your submission secret until the stream! To up the hype and wow the judges...!

Tips and Tricks

#

First-time mapper? You may want to consult the "Your First Map" guide to get your bearings!

#course-help in the Kart Krew Discord is a great place to ask for help if you're stuck!

Testing configurations:

Appending +bind KEY "setrings 20" +bind KEY "give sneaker" can also be helpful for testing!
